Meet Karlien

Hi, I’m Karlien Kruger — the founder of Thraed.life. This idea began in my heart, rooted in my own experiences with love, loss, and the quiet strength of memory. Over time, it grew — and today, I’m proud to bring it to life alongside a partner who shares the same care and vision.

I’m a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and lover of deep connection. I grew up in a family where stories were passed around like bowls of food — always warm, always welcome. In my travels, conversations, and personal grief, I’ve come to believe that remembering someone well is one of the most loving things we can do. That belief shaped Thraed.life.

This space is a gentle offering — a way to honour lives in heartfelt, beautiful, and lasting ways. Whether through words, photos, or quiet moments shared, we help carry forward the thread of someone’s presence in the world. If you’re here, I see you. And I’m honoured to help you hold the story that matters most.

Meet Annalize

As co-founder of Thraed.life, I bring a life shaped by care, connection, and the quiet strength of detail. My journey began in nursing, where I learned that every small gesture matters. Later, through teaching and our family business, I discovered the power of listening and the beauty of honouring what’s often unseen.

I’m someone who notices the little things — the soft look in someone’s eyes, the pause in a story, the paperwork that needs attention before anyone else sees it. These are the threads I gently keep in hand. I help hold the rhythm of our work steady — with compassion, structure, and a whole lot of heart.

I believe in remembering, in marking love and life with care. As Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” That’s the thread I follow — and the one we offer others. Annalize Vermaak
